As a Bible believing church, we seek to follow the teachings and example of the first apostles of Christ who were told by Jesus to “make disciples….baptising them in the Name of the Father, and of The Son, and of the Holy Spirit…” (Matthew 28:19).

The Early Church baptised new Christians by full immersion in water, so we follow that example laid down by the first apostles and disciples of Jesus and do exactly the same today.

Water baptism symbolises the death of our old life and the new life we have received by our faith in Christ- “Having been buried with Him (Jesus) in baptism, you were also raised with Him through your faith in the working of God which raised Jesus from the dead” (Colossians 2:12).
