Life Groups

Untitled design (3)
River of Life church and Life groups! Christ Jesus communities
The life group; a place to meet and share life. Life Groups meet in homes where people can form friendships and take an active part in the joy of the Lord for He is our strength. Laughter is highly recommended. Life Groups encourage, pray, learn and help us to grow in faith. They help us to find out who we are in Christ, how to live our lives in Christ and be relevant for Christ.
Life Groups: Church in the Home

The Bible shows that, as well as meeting in the “temple courts,” both Jesus and the early Church made extensive use of small groups, often meeting in people’s homes. These groups form most of the day-to-day activity of Church life. Jesus taught a crowd in the house of Simon and Andrew in Capernaum healing a paralytic (Mark 2:1-12.)  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, (Acts 2:46.)

When do Life Groups meet?

Life Groups meet throughout weekdays with options for morning or evening timeslots. See the table below for more detail.

Some key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10.30am for Sunday Service. Aim to arrive 10 minutes early to get parked and find a seat in time for the service to start.

We meet at:

River of Life Christian Life Centre
2 Carr Road, Felixstowe, IP11 2FS

You can see a map on our Contact us page

There is plenty of parking available on the site.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be approximately 45 mins of singing with opportunity for church members to pray or read a passage from the bible. After the notices there will be a spiritual message from one of the leaders at the Church with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are normally served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a fantastic programme for children at the Church for ages 0 thru 17. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together for the first part of the morning. An announcement is made when it's time for children to join their programmes. Children need to be registered.

For more information about programmes and age groups, please refer to the relevant pages under the main menu heading "Ministries".

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
