About RoL Church

  • Our Church

As a Church, we want to welcome people of all ages and backgrounds and ensure that you feel at home with us. We have a Welcome Team to meet and greet visitors and to help them feel relaxed and at home with us.  We want your experience of River of Life Church to be enjoyable and uplifting as we worship God together.

    Mission Statement:

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind;' and, 'Love your neighbour as yourself'"

    (Luke 10:27)

  • Worship

    Julie Harvey-8430

Did you know we were created to praise God!

Psalm 150:6 says ‘Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord’.

When we come together as church family in worship we desire to exalt God, elevate God, experience God, encounter God, enjoy God and expect God to move by His Holy Spirit. Our role as the worship team is to lead people in to the presence of God by encouraging them to press in in worship to give praise to God and receive fresh revelation from Him. One of our favourite verses is John 4:23 - ‘yet a time is coming and has come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth, they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks’.

Worship is our outward expression of love, thanks and adoration we have for God. Above all we want to worship God with all our being and give Him the praise and glory for the wonders we have seen and will continue to see in our individual lives and church life.

  • Our Beliefs

    Statement of Doctrine
    1. The Unity of the Godhead and the divine co-equality of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; the Sovereignty of God in creation, providence and redemption.
    2. The true and proper Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His Virgin Birth: His real and perfect manhood; the authority of His teaching and infallibility of all His utterances; His work of atonement for sinners of mankind by His vicarious sufferings, His death, His bodily resurrection and His ascension into Heaven; His present priestly intercession for His people.
    3. The full inspiration of the Holy Scriptures; their authority and sufficiency as not only containing but being in themselves the Word of God; the reliability of the New Testament in its testimony to the character and authorship of the Old Testament; and the need of the teaching of the Holy Spirit to a true and spiritual understanding of the whole.
    4. The reality of original sin in consequence of the fall and the necessity of regeneration.
    5. The justification of the sinner solely by faith through the atoning merits of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
    6. The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit in conversion and sanctification; also in ministry in worship and in the exercising of spiritual gifts through the body of believers.
  • Our Vision

    ROL Vision H 1

    • To Host the Presence of Lord Jesus Christ in increasing measure
    • To be a worshiping church with vibrant praise and worship
    • To seek revival and preach the full Gospel, seeing increasing numbers come to Christ and be saved, healed and delivered
    • To increasingly see miracles, signs and wonders (Mark 16:17)
    • To reach out to the people of Felixstowe and surrounding districts with the love of the Lord Jesus Christ
    • To be a true family of believers meeting not only on Sundays, but midweek also
    • To exhibit the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and practice the Gifts of The Spirit, both corporately and as individuals
    • To be a church of prayer, interceding for those in Felixstowe, the County of Suffolk, our Nation, and the persecuted church worldwide, together with the nation of Israel

    5 Year Vision

    From July 2021

    • Following the disastrous effect of the Covid 19 Pandemic effect on churches, River of Life has restructured leadership and has a vision to build up the Body of Christ spiritually and numerically in accordance with our Vision Statement.  Within 5 years we pray to have at least 300 people in fellowship

    • We believe by faith the Church mortgage will be totally re-paid by December 2024 at the latest and that any loans would also be repaid by that date

    • We believe by faith we will have a paid Pastor and family and that we will have a network covering over River of Life Church as soon as possible

Planning your Visit

First Visit?

web 800x400 (8) Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Some key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10.30am for Sunday Service. Aim to arrive 10 minutes early to get parked and find a seat in time for the service to start.

We meet at:

River of Life Christian Life Centre
2 Carr Road, Felixstowe, IP11 2FS

You can see a map on our Contact us page

There is plenty of parking available on the site.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be approximately 45 mins of singing with opportunity for church members to pray or read a passage from the bible. After the notices there will be a spiritual message from one of the leaders at the Church with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are normally served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a fantastic programme for children at the Church for ages 0 thru 17. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together for the first part of the morning. An announcement is made when it's time for children to join their programmes. Children need to be registered.

For more information about programmes and age groups, please refer to the relevant pages under the main menu heading "Ministries".

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
