Life Groups

River of Life church and Life groups! Christ Jesus communities

The Life group; A place to meet and share life. Life Groups meet in homes where people can form friendships and take an active part in the joy of the Lord - for He is our Strength.Laughter is highly recommended. Life groups encourage, learn, pray and help us to grow in faith. They help us to find out who we are in Christ, how to live our lives in Christ and be relevant for Christ.

Life Groups: Church in the Home

The Bible shows that, as well as meeting in the ‘temple courts’, both Jesus and the early Church made extensive use of small groups, often meeting in people’s homes. These groups form the ideal context for most of the day-to- day activity of Church life. He preached to a crowd in his house in Capernaum, healing a paralytic (Mark 2: 1). He taught another crowd in somebody else’s house (Mark 7: 17 & 9: 28). He requisitioned another person’s guest room for the Passover meal (Mark 14: 14).
