A Life Testimony

I was born in Walthamstow and suffered many traumas in my life. When I was four I nearly drowned in the sea but God sent a woman to pull me up out of the sea by my arms. When I was five my RC school class were asked by the teacher to go home and pray in our own home asking Jesus to come into our hearts.  My mother was C of E and my father is a practising spiritualist and my grandmother was RC. Both my parents came from abusive families. Because of this I suffered years of abuse from my father which caused mental problems, constant stress and low self-esteem.  Father told us not to tell people about our problems.

I studied Foundation in Art at Southend College then a Degree BA Hons. in Art and Design at Suffolk College, Ipswich, which were the happiest days of my life. I was a hurt and angry teenager and had become bitter against my father. I attempted suicide several times but God saved me because He had a plan for my life.  My mother died at the age of 52.  I began a C&G one year full-time Professional Photography Course at Barking College.

Started to attend the Elim Church where I received the baptism of The Holy Spirit. I then moved to Essex and attended another Elim Church.  I had counselling and was set free from all the oppression of the enemy. In 2002 I moved to Felixstowe and began attending River of Life Church where I found a loving, understanding and compassionate church family.  All praise, honour and glory goes to God for His mighty power throughout the course of my life. He has always been there for me, a way-maker, miracle worker and promise keeper. He is trustworthy and true to His Word.

All things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28

Blessed be The Lord who daily loads us with benefits.
Psalm 68:19a

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God  for pulling down strongholds, powers and principalities.
2 Corinthians 10:4

I have forgiven my parents and have been praying for my father's salvation and have been reconciled to him. Praise God.
