Toddler Group

Our Toddler Group meets on Friday mornings during term-time from 10.00 am - 11.30 am in the Coffee Area at the Christian Life Centre. For specific dates, please click on our Calendar. The group is for babies and pre-school children and their parents/carers, who are responsible for them at all times. We have a large area for the toddlers to play in, a bouncy castle, trampoline, slide, kitchen, garage, train set, ride-ons, prams and pushchairs, etc. Small tables and chairs are set out with puzzles, books and craft. At around 10.45 am we have snack time there, with drinks, cakes, biscuits and bananas for everyone. Then we sing rhymes and tidy up the toys before leaving. We try to do something special on the last day of each term, like a party and Santa at Christmas, Easter card craft and eggs and a Teddy Bears Picnic or novelty ice-creams at the close of the summer term. If you have babies or toddlers in our age range to care for on a Friday morning, we would love to see you. A donation of £1 is suggested for each family, irrespective of how many children you bring along, to cover refreshments, new toys and end of term 'treats'. The Toddler Group is led by Linda Tuffs, assisted by a team of volunteers from River of Life. River of Life is registered with the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service and we have a Safeguarding Policy in place. All our Toddler Group volunteers undergo Safeguarding checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Disclosures.
