Church mission statement

Dawn regularly attends River of Life from Essex and this is her testimony of God's goodness at a difficult time in her and her husband's life,
when she had been unable to attend Church.

God is good and He knows our needs before we know them.

My father-in-law, Ron, died on 29 January after a few months of being in and out of hospital and years of poor health.
He was in our our life 24/7 and we did most things for him, more so when he had lost his wife in 2004.
From then on, we saw him every day, fed him and looked after his affairs.

Three days before we buried him with his wife, my husband Michael decided to go shopping in Tescos, which was near where his dad used to live.
He got the things he needed and queued up at a check out. He then was able to hear a conversation between the customer in front and the cashier :

Customer: "Have you seen that nice tall, thin man?"
Cashier: "No, I think his name is Ron."
Customer: "He is always so friendly and polite."

Without delay, Michael was able to offer the news that he thought they were talking about his father and that unfortunately he had passed away.
They were saddened by this news. Michael was amazed that he had queued at the same checkout his father always used.

When Michael returned home and told me what had happened, I was delighted and so was Michael that two strangers saw a man we loved dearly
in this light and that he had the opportunity to claim that this man was indeed his dad.

Chance? ... I don't think so. Planned by he who created us!! Our God is so good.

River of Life Church also prayed about Michael approximately 18 months ago as he was having nose bleeds while flying on planes.
He was totally healed and once again goes on long haul trips. Praise God!

Over the last couple of weeks, I have had a breakthrough in my life.

At the beginning of this year, God gave me something to write down. He said to me that this would be a year of declaration for me and He said that He was going to bring me in to a new way of living and speaking and He said that I have been going round and round the mountain of my own way of living and speaking and this year I was going to experience this new way.

He’s done it and I give Him all the praise and glory! He’s brought me into this new life, this fullness of life, as He promised us in John 10: 10.

I have never felt like this. I have never experienced this and I know it is for the rest of my life, if I stand on what God has done.

Like Terry said, I do not know how to contain it! I hope I look different because people keep telling me I do! I don’t see it in myself, but I feel different from the inside, so therefore I believe it will manifest on the outside. I know that God has changed me and done something real.

All these years of my Christian life, 27 years, I have been seeking for the reality of this new life. I knew that it is there for each one, but I hadn’t got it. I knew from all that God says in His Word, which is the truth, the absolute truth, but I wanted the reality of it for me.

I believe that you don’t have to go through 27 years like I did, but if you press in, seek God, go after God with all your heart,
you can have this new, new life. New everything!
