Testimony by a Visitor October 2012

I have been set free! I have been set free!
I have been a Christian for 30 years, but I have been under law.
I have had a revelation the last three weeks that I am saved by grace.

Testimony given by Eve Fellingham during a Morning Meeting on Sunday 25 November 2012

A little while back, we were having coffee with Shawn’s mum and Katie had something on her face. We were wondering what it was and whether to take her to doctors. Shawn’s mum used to be a nurse and she immediately identified it as eczema. The following day at Church, there was a word for eczema, so I shot up like a rabbit, running to the front. I then got Katie and we anointed her with oil. It took about 2-3 weeks for us to see the healing complete. It started to go but it was so gradual that I was disappointed. But I kept saying, ‘No, God has healed her’. After about 3 weeks, it is completely gone and there is no trace of it at all and she is free from it. Praise the Lord. I also want to give testimony about what happened to me. A few years back, I had a few bad circumstances hit me at once and, instead of choosing to praise God, I chose to whinge and whine and be negative and that put me into depression for about 3 or 4 years. All through the time that I should have been enjoying having a new baby and all the experiences of motherhood, I wasted all that by being depressed and seeing negative things happen. About 3 or 4 months ago, one Sunday morning at Church, were told about trying to get up in the morning and praise God. If you can do that, it will go. So, a couple of months after that was said, I started doing that and it really does work. I just want to testify that if you can get up in the morning, even if you are feeling naff, and the first thing you do is just praise God and just stand on his Word. I have been doing this and I have a whole book of promises which I have just written out from the Bible and I have just been standing on His Word. In the morning, I say, “Thank you Lord that I am the head and not the tail. Thank you that I am blessed when I come in and when I go out. Thank you that my barns are blessed, that You want to prosper me.’ And I just declare the promises – ‘I am sealed with the Holy Spirit. I have got your mark on me Lord. I am seated in the heavenlies with You.’ I just declare all these scriptures in the morning and, even if I feel a bit down in the morning, I just feel lifted up instantly by that. I have been writing songs again and encouraging everyone else and I know I have been a blessing in my Life Group to people, supporting people and I have been blessed through them. So it has a knock on effect all the way down. The other thing is I have given up watching TV. The only thing I watch is X Factor, which is my one little luxury, I don’t watch anything else. So, in the evenings, if I’m not watching TV, I can be studying God’s Word, writing songs and poetry, meeting up with friends to encourage them and all that stuff, whereas I had been just sitting in front of the TV depressed and watching all this trash and it was not helping at all. So that’s a really good thing as well. I just want to praise God for what He is doing. He said to me, ‘You are a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come'.
